UEFA Champions League 2017 Quarter final Schedule– The UEFA tournament League is an annual club football competition organized by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and contested by top-division European clubs. The team who enters into the UEFA Champions League is based on the member associations. These coefficients are generated by the results of clubs representing each association during the previous five Champions League. The higher an association’s coefficient, the more teams represent the association in the Champions League, and the fewer from qualification game association’s teams must compete in. Five of the remaining ten qualifying places are granted to the winners of a four-round qualifying. The other five are granted to the winners of a two-round qualifying match between the 15 clubs from the associations ranked 1 through 15, which have entered based upon finishing second, third, or fourth in their respective national league

The tournament begins with a group stage of 32 teams, divided into eight groups. At this stage, the draw is decided and teams from the same country may not be drawn into groups together. Each team plays with others in its group at home and away in a round-robin format. From each group, the winning team and the runners-up would progress to the next round. The third-placed team enters into UEFA League. For this stage, the runners-up will play against the winning team from one group plays from another group, and teams from the same association may not be drawn against each other. The draw is chosen entirely random Quarter-finals onwards. The tournament goals rule is if the aggregate score of the two games is tied, then the team who scored more goals at their opposition’s stadium advances. The group stage is played from September to December, whilst the knock-out stage starts in February. With the exception of the final, the knock-out ties are played in a 2-legged format. This is typically held in the final two weeks of May.


The draw for the last eight of the competition was made in Nyon, Switzerland, Real Madrid European champions will play with Bayern Munich in the standout UEFA Champions League quarter-final. The Champions League quarter-final draw will take place on Friday, March 17 at 11:00 GMT (16:30 IST) at UEFA’s head office in Nyon, Switzerland. The quarter-final draw will open and any team can be drawn against any other team as none of the teams are seeded and teams from same countries can be drawn against each other. The side which will be drawn first will play first leg at home. Quarterfinal first legs will be played on 11-12 April while second legs will take place on 18-19 April. So the teams are unranked and clubs from the same country may face each other. Put simply, it is a totally random draw and anyone can face anyone. The clubs that come out of the hat first for each tie will play the first leg at home.
